Keeping blonde bright between appointments
Erdem Tekelioğlu
Founder & colourist
Blonde does not fade because the colour was wrong on the day. It fades because of what happens in the two weeks after.
Wash it less. Four days between washes is realistic for most clients and it is the single biggest thing you can do. When you do wash, use a sulphate-free product: sulphates open the cuticle and take the toner with them.
Water temperature matters more than most people expect. Hot water speeds up the fade. Turn it down for the final rinse.
And use a bond-building treatment weekly, not daily — overuse makes hair feel heavy. If your blonde starts feeling like straw rather than hair, that is a sign to book a gloss rather than to buy another product.
